Assistant Safety Manager

Degree or above Safety and Quality Assurance Corporate Office


  • Manage SATS HK’s Safety section and ensure compliance with the Hong Kong Labour Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance
  • Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and day-to-day administration of the SMS throughout SATS HK, including all stations
  • Regular review of the all system and operational control procedures in Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Ensure that SATS HK SMS is in compliance with latest ISAGO requirements
  • Monitor compliance with SMS at both operational and management level
  • Maintain risk registry and database of risk assessments
  • Perform analysis of safety incidents and propose preventive measures
  • Review and revise the Safety Management System Manual
  • Coordinate and organize activities/campaigns to promote safety awareness, and targeted at enhancing work safety culture
  • Benchmark against industrial best practice and evaluate for adoption and implementation
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with airlines, Airport Authority or other external parties for all aspects of corporate safety
  • Assist in planning and implementing safety initiatives
  • Any ad-hoc projects as assigned by the management


  • Degree holder in Occupational Safety and Health or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of aviation quality or other related field, preferred with 2 years in managerial level
  • Registered Safety Officer in Labour department is preferred but not a must
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Multi-tasking in high pressure and within time constraint
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent command in both written and spoken English
  • Independent, well-organized, self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Hong Kong Driving License is an advantage
  • Willing to work outdoor
